Beer-Sheva is situated in the Southern Israel and it is 90km away from Jerusalem, and 110km away from Tel-Aviv.
The Ancient City of Beer-Sheva is around 4000 years old, and it already mentioned in the Bible in the Old Testamentas the place the Patriarch Abraham lived.
It had a long and tempestuous journey through the history from a small desert oasis to a modern city.
Nowadays it is the capital of the Negev area and it has around 200,000 inhabitants.
Beer-Sheva had an especially dynamic growth period in the previous 15 years when the city doubled its teritory, just as well as the number of its inhabitants.
This exhibition is an attempt to present the expert and general audiance the historical inheritance of the city
through a photographic language. It also attempts to show the architectural and landscaping results of its builders in making optimal living and working conditions in the Negev desert.
